Theodore F. Bayer, President/CEO, Founder

Ted Bayer has nearly 30 years of extensive experience covering all facets of the Information Technology industry. His roles have encompassed the entrepreneurial as well as highly technical. SYSCOM Inc. is the first company Ted founded and has received a number of awards for rapid growth from Deloitte & Touche, Inc magazine, and others. Subsequent to starting SYSCOM, he founded Training Server, a pioneer provider of enterprise Learning Management Systems. He has been recognized as an Ernst & Young Maryland Entrepreneur of the Year in High Tech/Software. His technical achievements have included the design and implementation of leading-edge software, primarily in enabling integration of large-scale heterogeneous database systems and in computer aided software generation. Ted holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Carnegie-Mellon University.

Mark Anzmann, Executive Vice President, Professional Services

Mark Anzmann leads SYSCOM’s Professional Services teams. Mark has more than 20 years’ experience in large-scale application development, database administration and project management. He is currently the Chairperson of the Baltimore/Washington DB2 Users Group and holds six IBM certifications relating to IBM’s DB2 Products. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree from James Madison University.

John A. Grillos, Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing

John Grillos possesses 20+ years of global sales, marketing, product management, and business development experience, working for technology titans such as IBM and EMC, as well as mid-sized and start-up companies. John has proven success in driving exponential growth, building strategic partnerships, defining new industry categories, transforming products into solutions, and increasing sales & marketing effectiveness and efficiency. John’s proven ability to cultivate customer and channel partnerships, along with his expertise and acumen to anticipate customer needs for industry solutions is invaluable in helping SYSCOM achieve its goals. John has a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from University of California, Berkeley.

Verna McDade, Vice President, Human Resources

Verna oversees all of the human resource responsibilities for SYSCOM, creating and implementing programs to attract the best people to SYSCOM, as well as retain and motivate employees to achieve their goals. Verna possesses over 10 years of human resource experience for technology companies. Previously, Verna has had HR leadership roles at CSX Professional Services Group, Computer Task Group, and CGA. Verna holds a Bachelors degree in Mathematics from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.

Neil Peckman, Vice President, Integration Products and Large Scale Systems

Neil Peckman, defines the strategic software product approach for SYSCOM’s product development teams as well as product sales and marketing. In this role, he works directly with teams to define, build and deliver the SYSCOM product solutions needed to support SYSCOM’s capture, content, and workflow customer implementations. Neil has more than 25 years’ experience in the design and development of small to large-scale computer systems and specializes in System z System Programming and development. He holds a Bachelor degree in Information Management from University of Maryland College Park and an Associate Business degree from Ohio State University.
